The General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA) in Dubai launched a smart platform called ‘My Platform’ featuring latest technologies to provide digital services to its employees in an efficient and convenient way. The launch of the platform is part of the development and modernization approach followed by the Directorate as part of its smart transformation strategy. As part of these efforts, GDRFA is working to improve services and the provision of convenient tools and means to meet the needs of employees. It reflects the Directorate’s keenness to achieve job satisfaction of employees, which in turn contributes to enhancing efficiency, performance and productivity, especially in the face of the disruptions caused by the pandemic.
‘My platform’ is available on the Directorate’s internal website, and features a bunch of smart services provided to employees which contribute to simplifying procedures for them using single sign-in through the digital ID. It also offers other support services such as human resources services, correspondence and others. Through the platform, employees will be able to see news, the daily statements and the inspiring messages of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum for employees. In addition, employees can log in their work hours through the platform. The platform also supports decision-makers to view the attendance and departure rate and measure the employee happiness rate.
Major General Awad Al Oweim, Assistant Director General of the Human and Financial Resources Sector, said: “The real asset of GDRFA is its employees, and their happiness is a top priority as they are the basis of its achievements and the secret of its successes. Therefore, we must provide them with all the needs and requirements which may raise their satisfaction and job happiness. From this point of view, the platform “My Platform’ was launched to address their needs in smart and fast ways which saves a lot of time and effort.” He said that such initiatives create a positive and happy environment, which contributes to increasing productivity and raises the rates of loyalty and job affiliation. These improvements will reflect in the quality of work and customer satisfaction and happiness and contributes to making Dubai the happiest city in the world.
