DNRD confirms Ramadan working hours

THE Dubai Naturalisation and Residency Department (DNRD) has approved the work timings for employees during the Holy Month of Ramadan. Work, it has been decided, is to start at 8.00am until 5.30pm, lasting for as much as five hours per day. The Director of DNRD, Brigadier General Mohammed Al Merri, revealed that the DNRD has approved the system of flexible work hours all year round for the second year consecutively, with the aim of facilitating the finalisation of public transactions. He said, "The new timings conform to the requirements and circumstances of both the employees and the public simultaneously. Employees will be working upon a rotating schedule, prepared by the DNR." "Work is scheduled to start at 8.00am and ends at 5.30pm in the headquarters of the department in Al Jafliya and the other offices." Al Merri pointed out that the rotating schedule will be prepared according to the nature of work in each department, in a way that fulfils the number of working hours decided.
