GDRFA Dubai issues more than 152,000 golden visas, 16m transactions handled between 2019 & 2022

The General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA) in Dubai announced that the number of golden visas issued between 2019 and 2022 reached 151,666, while the number of transactions handled by the Residency and Entry Permits sector hit 15,542,384, an increase of 43% compared to 2020-2021.

According to GDRFA’s annual inspection report 2022, the Customer Happiness Index touched 96%, while the partners' happiness index achieved 100%. The report also showed that paperless transactions contributed to reducing consumption of papers by 100%.

Furthermore, the report also revealed that the GDRFA has launched the trial run of an instant contact service  at 60 Amer centres and a number of tourism companies in the third quarter of this year. The service is now available on the official website from morning till evening and there are plans to make it available around the clock after training 100% of the employees. As part of the service, more than 2,868 transactions have been processed and the second phase of the project will be implemented during the first quarter of 2023.

The Residency and Entry Permits sector has also completed the implementation of 99% of its operational plan with the improvement rate on main transactions hitting 94.6%, while the sector’s digital transformation recorded a whopping 100%. Additionally, the sector’s innovation readiness increased to 82.2%, employee happiness to 93%, while institutional flexibility scored 100%, the report revealed.
