Mona Al Marri visits GDRFA Dubai to discuss collaboration in the media industry

H.E. Lieutenant General Mohammed Ahmed Al Marri, Director General of the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA) in Dubai, has received H.E. Mona Al Marri, Director General of the Dubai Government Media Office (DMO), to discuss ways to enhance collaboration in the media industry and address crucial topics.

During the visit, Mona Al Marri conducted an inspection tour of the GDRFA’s headquarters and was given an overview of the work processes, where she spoke highly of the hard work of all employees at the GDRFA, recognizing their contributions in showcasing a positive image of Dubai.

Al Marri was accompanied by Dr.  Maitha Buhumaid, Director of the Dubai Press Club, and Omar Al Marzooqi, Director General Office at the Government of Dubai Media Office.

The Director General of the DMO praised the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Dubai for its outstanding efforts and critical role in ensuring the success of events and exhibitions.

"GDRFA’s prompt completion of transactions and swift issuance of entry permits, along with the provision of seamless services through streamlined procedures, cast a brilliant glow on the UAE and Dubai's reputation globally," she added.

For his part, Mohammed Al Marri stated: "The GDRFA Dubai is committed to driving the media sector, which represents a key component of our annual strategy, to new horizons in line with the vision of the country’s wise leadership.”

He commended the fundamental role played by the Dubai Government Media Office and the Dubai Press Club in promoting Dubai’s sustainable development.

Al Marri attributed GDRFA’s accomplishments and successes in recent years to the outstanding efforts supported by various print, audio, and visual media, led by the Dubai Government Media Office, which has left a lasting impact through its media contributions.

He emphasized that the visit has been very fruitful and served the common goal of strengthening the strategic partnership between Dubai and the media sector in the country, particularly the Dubai media office, which contributed to enhancing media content and elevating its role as a crucial aspect of sustainable development.
