The General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA) in Dubai has unveiled a new counter for children aged 4 to 12 years in the arrivals hall of Terminal 3 at Dubai International Airport.

The counter permits select children to self-stamp their passports, with specialized supervisors and experts on hand to guide them. These child-friendly passport officers help facilitate access, offer support, and respond to any questions the young travellers may have.

Children will be welcomed by two child-friendly characters, Salem and Salama, dressed in GDRFA uniforms, to foster a sense of warmth and happiness associated with Dubai from the very first step.

Children will also be guided to the counter through a dedicated gate and corridor, with floor stickers directing them towards the passport stamping area. This visually appealing space features space-themed illustrations and is situated in the heart of Emirates Airlines. The counter is also equipped with two designated lanes to ensure a smooth boarding process for the young travellers.
