The Dubai General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA) in Dubai has supported the "Bridges of Goodness" campaign, an initiative launched by the UAE to assist earthquake victims in Syria and Turkey. In collaboration with the Emirates Red Crescent, GDRFA enlisted 100 employees from the directorate, who dedicated a total of 400 volunteer hours to the campaign.

Promptly responding to the national community campaign, GDRFA backed the country's efforts and helped consolidate resources and enhance community involvement in providing relief for those impacted by natural disasters. The initiative was spearheaded by several Emirati humanitarian organizations, including the Emirates Red Crescent, in partnership with the Ministry of Community Development and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.

Brigadier General Hussein Ibrahim, Assistant Director General of the Institutional Support Sector, emphasized that the General Directorate's involvement in the "Bridges of Goodness" campaign stems from its keenness to promote Emirati values and the spirit of humanity.

He further added that GDRFA is committed to fostering a culture of volunteering and community work among its staff, aligning with the authentic Emirati approach of supporting those in need and giving back to society.
