GDRFA Dubai Earns International Accreditation for Future Foresight Programme

Adding yet another feather to its cap, the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA) in Dubai has secured an international accreditation from the World Futures Studies Federation for its Future Foresight programme. This achievement further cements GDRFA’s position as a governmental leader in Future Foresight.

With the new milestone, GDRFA has now become the first entity in the UAE and one of a few specialised bodies worldwide to offer accredited programmes in Future Foresight. This programme, developed in collaboration with the American University in the UAE, aims to enhance institutional and leadership abilities to understand, analyse future challenges and trends, and make strategic decisions accordingly.

"We are truly proud of this accomplishment, as it not only bolsters GDRFA’s reputation locally and globally but also positions us among the elite entities specialising in Future Foresight. It is this capability to continually build future competencies through our specialised programmes that sets us apart," HE Lieutenant General Mohammed Ahmed Al Marri, Director General of GDRFA Dubai, said

Lauding the concerted efforts of GDRFA teams, Al Marri said that their efficiency and prowess have been integral to the significant and effective development of our programme. This accreditation not only instilis immense pride in GDRFA but also in the UAE at large, testifying to our unwavering commitment to innovation and leadership in future foresight.

"Through our specialised programmes and future capabilities, GDRFA assumes a pivotal role in honing skills and amplifying the competitive edge of individuals and organisations in this fast-paced era. Our initiatives empower leaders and organisations to concoct pioneering solutions and strategise innovative decisions that foster sustainable development and economic excellence," Al Marri stated.
