GDRFA Celebrates China's 74th National Day with Warm Welcome at Airports

The General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA) in Dubai rolled out a special and extraordinary reception for Chinese travellers arriving at Dubai airports in honour of the 74th National Day of the People's Republic of China, in a remarkable demonstration of goodwill and a commitment to strengthening cultural exchanges.

On this occasion, a team of Chinese-speaking GDRFA passport officers warmly welcomed passengers from the Chinese community as they landed on UAE soil. The smart gates at the airport were illuminated in vibrant red, a colour symbolising the Chinese flag.

Passengers were greeted with gestures of friendship and camaraderie, including the distribution of chocolates and souvenirs featuring pins adorned with both the UAE and Chinese flags, scarves, and greeting cards. This initiative aimed to express deep appreciation and respect for the Chinese people and foster an atmosphere of cooperation and friendship between the two nations, ultimately reinforcing bilateral relations.

HE Lieutenant General Mohammed Al Marri, Director General of GDRFA, underscored the paramount importance of strengthening cultural exchanges and bilateral relations between the UAE and countries across the globe, with a particular focus on the People's Republic of China. He emphasized that this gesture reflects the UAE's commitment to fortifying international connections and nurturing platforms for cultural exchange and mutual respect among diverse cultures and peoples.

His Excellency highlighted that the celebration commemorating China's National Day serves as a powerful catalyst for strengthening the already deep-rooted relations between the two friendly nations and their peoples. It symbolizes the ever-growing strategic cooperation underpinned by shared interests and mutual trust. The UAE and China, he noted, enjoy a history of cultural relations and a rich tradition of civilizational exchange.
