GDRFA Dubai showcases 11 innovative tech projects at GITEX Global 2023

The General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA) in Dubai has unveiled a dazzling series of 11 smart technology projects during its participation in GITEX Global 2023. The prestigious event was inaugurated by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai and is set to captivate tech enthusiasts until October 20th at the Dubai World Trade Centre.

HE Lieutenant General Mohammed Ahmed Al Marri, Director General of GDRFA, emphasized that GITEX Global has become a crucial platform that fuses innovation and technology right in the heart of Dubai. This exhibition underscores Dubai's unwavering commitment to solidifying its global status as a hub for innovation and artificial intelligence. 

He added that GDRFA adopts a proactive, advanced, and sustainable vision to enhance the quality of life and promote customer happiness.

The first day of GITEX saw an influx of high-profile visitors at Sheikh Saeed Hall. Showcased projects included the Smart Application Project, Instant Video Call, Passports and Personal Status Smart Application, “Manasati” (My Platform), Virtual Reality Service, Data Science and AI, Innovation and the Future, Workers and Domestic Categories Package, Dubai Electronic Document Management System, and Smart Gates.

In line with UAE Vision 2030, GDRFA’s platform at GITEX offers attendees a chance to explore its smart app. This app provides a series of interactive services for users, a hands-on experience with the direct instant video call service, and various other unique digital services, signifying Dubai's dedication to being at the forefront of technological evolution.
