GDRFA Dubai launches 8th season of “Qayla" programme
The General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA) in Dubai has launched the eighth season of “Qayla" programme, an innovative initiative aimed at fostering community engagement, bolstering awareness of Emirati heritage, and acquainting the public with governmental services in the Emirate of Dubai.
Airing on Radio Al Oula 107.4 of the Hamdan Bin Mohammed Heritage Centre, the programme also aims to enhance communication with the public and provide a platform for active engagement. It further seeks to inspire residents to connect with their historical roots, partake in cultural awareness activities, and stay informed about the comprehensive services provided by both the GDRFA and its partnering governmental entities.
"GDRFA Qayla" offers daily rewards as well as a special prize every Thursday. These prizes are earned by engaging with thought-provoking questions that spotlight Emirati heritage, enriching participants' understanding of the country's vibrant culture and civilization. Additionally, the programme serves as an avenue to introduce individuals to the services provided by the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs.
Scheduled to air daily during Ramadan on Radio Al Oula 107.4, the programme will run from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, with the exception of Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. Hosted by Salem Mohammed, “GDRFA Qayla” receives sponsorship from various entities, including Al Oula Radio, Emaratech, and Union Coop.
