GDRFA fulfills a child's dream and allows him to experience a day as a passport officer
As part of its celebration of Emirati Children's Day, which the country commemorates on March 15th each year, the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Dubai (GDRFA) made a little child's dream come true through a distinctive initiative, allowing him the opportunity to spend an exciting and thrilling day experiencing a unique role: working as an immigration officer at Dubai Airport.
General Mohammed Ahmed Al Marri, Director General of GDRFA, emphasized that this initiative reflects the spirit of dedication and positive interaction with children's dreams, enhancing the capabilities of future generations, and aligning with their aspirations, which GDRFA is keen on achieving within the framework of the UAE's vision and its centennial goals. This reflects the commitment of the General Directorate to the wise leadership's directives to instil human development from early stages, explaining that nurturing children's skills and discovering their talents promotes comprehensive personality development and contributes to building a strong, creative, and sustainable society.
GDRFA provided the child with the opportunity to work as an immigration officer at Dubai Airport for a full day, assisting him with stamping children's passports and allowing him to observe and follow travel and verification procedures amid encouragement from the airport staff.
In translation of the future vision adopted by GDRFA, which reflects its commitment to nurturing national competencies and focusing on supporting and enhancing children's abilities, Major General Mohammed Ahmed Al Marri promised, "The child will be part of the human resources in the workforce in the future as he grows up."
