GDRFA Dubai Leaders Visit the “Closer to You” Platform at Global Village to Enhance Direct Community

As part of efforts to enhance direct engagement with the community, a delegation of Dubai Residency’s leadership visited the “Closer to You” initiative platform at Global Village, headed by His Excellency Lieutenant General Mohammed Ahmed Al Marri, Director General of the General Directorate of Identity and Foreigners Affairs – Dubai, and accompanied by His Excellency Major General Obaid Muhair bin Suroor, Deputy Director General, along with a number of senior officials. The visit was attended by Ms. Zeina Dagher, Senior Vice President of Operations at Dubai Holding Entertainment – Global Village, reflecting leadership presence that translates principles into practice and reaffirming the initiative as an institutional approach based on on-ground presence, direct communication, and community service through action rather than distance.

The “Closer to You” initiative platform, implemented by the General Directorate of Identity and Foreigners Affairs – Dubai at Global Village, recorded strong engagement from visitors, reflecting the community’s interest in direct and interactive services and their eagerness to communicate with specialized teams.

The platform also witnessed high turnout across its various service sections, led by strong interest in Golden Visa services, alongside the Smart Corridor – Red Carpet services. It enabled visitors to obtain accurate information and raise their inquiries directly in an open, interactive environment, contributing to enhanced positive engagement, strengthened trust, and improved customer experience.

The “Closer to You” platform is part of an ongoing initiative at Global Village running until 5 February 2026, serving as an integrated community platform that combines service delivery, awareness, and interactive experience. This aligns with GDRFA approach to strengthening direct communication, reinforcing the “Customer First” principle, and building sustainable relationships with the community.
