“On 1 February, we proudly commemorate the passage of 18 years since a pivotal leadership milestone in Dubai’s history, marked by the issuance of the decrees on 1 February 2008 appointing H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum as Crown Prince of Dubai, and H.H. Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum as Deputy Ruler of Dubai—an era that helped entrench a comprehensive leadership approach whose impact has been clearly reflected in the emirate’s journey and holistic development.
These eighteen years have represented a practical model of young, ambitious leadership—one that leads with a clear vision, works in a spirit of teamwork, and transforms plans into tangible achievements—thereby reinforcing Dubai’s position as a global hub for economy, innovation, quality of life, and good governance.
