The General Directorate of Identity and Foreigners Affairs – Dubai (GDRFA Dubai) embodied the values of generosity and solidarity on Zayed Humanitarian Day, reaffirming its commitment to the humanitarian legacy established by the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, and reinforcing the culture of humanitarian work and social responsibility in the United Arab Emirates.
On this occasion, GDRFA Dubai organized several humanitarian and community initiatives. Volunteers participated in distributing Ramadan food supplies to members of the workforce, in an initiative aimed at bringing happiness to them and strengthening the values of compassion and solidarity during the holy month. Volunteers also took part, accompanied by their families, in distributing Iftar meals as part of Zayed Humanitarian Day activities, in an atmosphere reflecting the spirit of volunteerism and community cooperation.
These initiatives come as part of GDRFA Dubai’s commitment to actively participate in humanitarian initiatives that reflect the authentic values upon which the UAE was founded, while promoting a culture of giving and volunteerism that contributes to enhancing quality of life and strengthening community cohesion.
His Excellency Lieutenant General Mohammed Ahmed Al Marri, Director General of GDRFA Dubai, affirmed that Zayed Humanitarian Day represents an important occasion to draw inspiration from the humanitarian values instilled by the Founding Father, which have become a firmly rooted approach in the UAE’s journey and a fundamental pillar across various areas of government and community work.
His Excellency said: “The humanitarian approach established by the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan will continue to inspire future generations and motivate ongoing humanitarian initiatives that contribute to enhancing quality of life and strengthening the values of solidarity and compassion within society.”
