The General Directorate of Identity and Foreigners Affairs – Dubai (GDRFA Dubai) concluded its virtual Eid Al-Fitr celebration organized for the workforce across the Emirate of Dubai via the “Blue Connect” platform, delivering an integrated digital experience that reflects its commitment to enhancing quality of life and reinforcing human values, in line with the “Year of the Family 2026”.
The event witnessed strong engagement, with a total of 10,500 participants joining through the digital platform, reflecting the success of the virtual model in expanding reach and strengthening interaction with diverse segments of the workforce.
Since its launch, the “Blue Connect” application has recorded 57,748 downloads, highlighting the strong demand for the platform and its effectiveness in enabling seamless participation.
In parallel with the virtual event, on-ground activities were organized across 16 labor accommodations each day of the celebration, totaling 32 labor accommodations, reaching more than 40,000 workers over the two days. These activities also included interactive competitions featured within the live broadcast, further enhancing integration between on-ground and digital experiences.
The celebration program featured a wide range of entertainment and interactive segments, with the participation of celebrities and performers who joined virtually from abroad, alongside prize draws totaling 365 prizes, including two cars, 157 smartphones, 20 travel tickets, 30 gold bars, and 156 shopping vouchers.
The event also included awareness messages addressing the current regional situation, emphasizing the importance of refraining from capturing, publishing, or sharing unofficial content, while encouraging responsible behavior and adherence to precautionary measures.
The celebration was organized in collaboration with the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation, and supported by several partners and sponsors, including du, flydubai, and Malabar Gold. Noon acted as the logistics partner, contributing to the delivery of prizes to winners.
In this context, Major General Obaid Muhair bin Suroor, Deputy Director General, stated that the success of the celebration reflects GDRFA Dubai’s commitment to adopting innovative solutions to engage the workforce.
Colonel Omar Matar Al Mezeina, Assistant Director General for the Labor Relations Sector, added that the strong participation reflects the positive impact of such initiatives in fostering an inclusive and positive work environment.
Through this initiative, GDRFA Dubai reaffirms its commitment to enhancing quality of life and delivering impactful community initiatives
