In a proactive step that reflects the General Directorate of Identity and Foreigners Affairs – Dubai’s confidence in the ability of its national talent to drive development, the Center for Continuous Learning and Talent Development announced the graduation of the first cohort of coaching practitioners who completed a specialized program aligned with the standards of the International Coaching Federation (ICF), in preparation for obtaining the global Associate Certified Coach (ACC) credential. This initiative reinforces GDRFA Dubai’s commitment to developing capabilities from within, strengthening a culture of empowerment, and translating its institutional approach that places investment in people at the core of excellence and sustainable service quality.
The first cohort was dedicated to the Air Ports Sector, which represents Dubai’s frontline gateway and the primary point of contact for millions of travelers annually. The focus on this sector stems from the vital role its employees play as the largest group of service providers in the organization. Empowering them and enhancing their behavioral and leadership skills is essential to elevating the traveler experience, raising satisfaction levels, and strengthening the global reputation of the United Arab Emirates as a leading model in travel, hospitality, and smart government services—while further reinforcing Dubai’s position as one of the nation’s most prominent and distinguished gateways.
The program adopted an integrated training model that combines theoretical foundations, practical applications linked to the government work environment, and professional preparation that enables graduates to qualify for international accreditation according to ICF methodologies. This equips them to support their colleagues and enhance their skills through an approach based on guidance, motivation, and shared responsibility.
This step directly contributes to advancing the operational ecosystem across Dubai’s air ports by equipping employees with modern tools in effective communication, challenge management, and building more cohesive teams. It elevates service quality, strengthens frontline readiness, and positions GDRFA Dubai as an inspiring model in developing national competencies through structured internal qualification.
Major General Awad Mohammed Al-Awiem, Assistant Director General for Human Resources and Finance, emphasized that developing human capital is one of the institution’s key pillars of excellence, stating: “We view our employees as the fundamental pillar upon which the institution relies in its journey of development and institutional excellence, and empowering them is an integral part of the leadership and excellence we are committed to achieving. The graduation of this cohort of coaching practitioners reflects our confidence in the ability of our people to create impact and lead continuous improvement. It also underscores our commitment to maintaining the highest standards of service quality and ensuring that Dubai’s ports of entry continue to serve as a global benchmark for efficiency and frontline readiness.”
Through initiatives such as this, GDRFA Dubai continues to strengthen its position as one of the UAE’s most progressive government entities in the field of human capital development. This is achieved through sustainable internal programs that reflect the organization’s values and support the UAE’s vision of building a pioneering government ecosystem grounded in competence, innovation, and a strong commitment to placing the customer at the center of its priorities.
