GDRFA Dubai activating the remote work system for "Amer" call center

The General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Dubai announced the activation of the “remote work “system for "Amer" call center starting from Thursday March 26, 2020 for two weeks subject to renewal and evaluation. Amer call center will be operating 24 hours according to the working mechanism applied remotely for the center to achieve the highest levels of productivity in the work in accordance with the decision of the Dubai Executive Council to implement 100% remote working in all departments, institutions and governmental entities in Dubai starting next Sunday. GDRFA Dubai confirmed its readiness and cooperation to implementing the remote work, in compliance with the decisions of the UAE’s wise government to maintaining public health and achieving the highest levels of safety for society. GDRFA Dubai has also revealed that Amer call center had received about 116 thousand and 500 call during the period from 25 to 23 March, at a daily rate of 15 thousand call per day, and with an efficiency rate of 81% on its toll- free number 800511. His Excellency Major General Mohammed Ahmed Al Marri, Director General of GDRFA Dubai stressed that the results of the “Amer” call center showed the readiness and high efficiency of its national cadres, who are able to provide the best always. H.E Al Marri added that the GDRFA Dubai works efficiently and effectively in conjunction with various other entities to enhance and maintain the quality of life for the UAE community, in implementation of the message of UAE’s wise leadership in readiness and willingness to deal with all circumstances and adapt to changes. From his part Major Salem bin Ali, Director of Amer Happiness Customers Department at GDRFA Dubai said the “Amer” call center responds to the comments and inquiries of customers inside and outside the United Arab Emirates in various languages, indicating that the call center receives approximately 120 thousand calls per month, as it includes a specialized well trained human cadre to respond efficiently and effectively about GDRFA Dubai transactions or direct the customer to the competent authority in case the inquiry relates to another authority. GDRFA Dubai has invited customers to use through (GDRFA Dubai website) or through GDRFA Dubai smart app to complete their transactions in easy and smart way.
