GDRFA Dubai launches strategy to improve happiness and quality of life for all
The General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Dubai (GDRFA Dubai) launched the ‘Happiness and Quality of Life’ strategy, with an aim to improve the quality of life for all employees of the Directorate. Besides, it also aims to improve the quality of life for its customers, partners and suppliers in line with governmental and global directions to promote and consolidate the concept of happiness and quality of life. These efforts will be in line with the international best practices based on inputs, reliable sources and an established framework to improve happiness and quality of life.
Through the implementation of the strategy, GDRFA Dubai aims to improve happiness and quality of life by formulating an integrated system of initiatives, policies and activities. These will also raise the path of UAE’s development leadership in order to achieve the goals of UAE Centennial 2071.
The strategy includes several aspects related to society, customers, partners and suppliers, by focusing on the quality of life in society, completion of roles and responsibilities between governments, and cooperation to respond to future global trends in building a bright and safe future for the country. These include health and safety, consolidating the purpose and strengthening relations in the internal environment as well as increasing reliance on digital technology which would enhance institutional reputation and societal security. Furthermore, it includes deepening of loyalty and affiliation, localization and development of future competencies to make happiness a way of life.
His Excellency Major General Mohammed Al Marri, Director General of GDRFA Dubai, affirmed that the UAE is proactive in building a system enhancing the quality of life for the UAE community in various fields through strategies that ensure the sustainability of development, innovation and creativity. He said that the strategy for happiness and quality of life falls in line with the vision of the wise leadership and the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, to intensify national efforts and government integration and enhance the overall quality of life in the society.
Al Marri emphasized that Dubai presents a unique global model in governmental work with a main focus on human happiness and enhancing the quality of life in all fields. He added that GDRFA always seeks to launch programs and initiatives that work to consolidate and enhance the concepts of happiness to become a practice, a culture and a work approach in all its sectors by providing governed digital services. It also encourages employees to be creative and innovative, and provides them with opportunities to implement their creative and positive ideas which contribute to the development of services, raising happiness levels and quality of life, and achieving happiness of customers.
Major General Al Marri indicated that GDRFA Dubai is taking steady steps towards anticipating the future and preparing for the 50 by dealing with global changes.
Major Faisal bin Balila, Director of the Institutional Excellence Department at the GDRFA Dubai, said that the strategy for happiness and quality of life falls in line with the directives of the wise leadership in enhancing the quality of life. From this angle, GDRFA Dubai studied current lifestyles and searched for opportunities and solutions to develop them to enhance the overall quality of life and to ensure a decent life for all members of society, he concluded.
