General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs - Dubai received two awards in Dubai Government Excellence program award in 2005 in the category of outstanding technical project for the e-criminal laboratory project and a special award for the team of Mina Um Qasr in 2004

General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs - Dubai received a special award for the electronic complaints system in Dubai Government Excellence program award 2008.

The General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs Dubai won the British Ideas Award, represented by the Centre for Creativity and Innovation, the Air Ports Sector and Smart Services, for the Smart Programs and Applications Award for the UAE-Vision project, the Operations Improvement Award for the Next Generation Departure NGA project, and the Customer Service Award for the smart gates project, which enabled Passengers can complete their travel procedures in the shortest possible time and Dubai residency has prepared its air ports to become smart stations, being one of the most vital ports of the UAE and the gateway from which all peoples look out. This is a translation of the vision and directives of our wise leadership, the necessity of making travellers happy and providing all the facilities and services that make their travel through Dubai an experience stuck in the minds, which enabled the city of Dubai to occupy advanced positions among the best tourist destinations in the world, and the largest airports in the world, without missing us. Dubai has ranked first in the world in the number of passengers and has also won the category of International Executive Leader in the Civil Innovation Department / Elham Younis Ahli, Director of the Centre for Creativity and Innovation granted by the British Ideas Organization.

Kholoud Abdullah Al Ali Saleh from the institutional support sector was awarded the 25th Al Owais Creativity Award in the best work of art for young people at the Culture and Science Seminar 

The General Department of Residence and Foreign Affairs Dubai, represented by the Department of Human And Financial Resources, was awarded the Best Settlement Initiative in the GCC, in addition to the Human Resources Department's award for the Best Happiness Initiative of the Year. 

Dubai's human resources and financial resources compliance residence has received three leading human resources awards at the 15th Edition of the Stevie International Award, one of the most powerful awards in the field of international business, institutional excellence and human resources, where more than 4,000 candidates compete for awards. Worldwide from various institutions, individuals and outstanding businesses representing more than 60 countries, the General Administration has won the gold category in the category of best human resources happiness team and silver in the category of best leader in human resources and was awarded by Major Ahmed Al Marri, Director of Human Resources Management and Bronze Category in the category of best achievements in the field of human resources management.

The General Department of Residence and Foreign Affairs Dubai, represented by the Department of Human and Financial Resources (Medical Unit), was awarded the British Ideas Award for Health and Safety  

Major Faisal Abdullah Bin Belila, Director of Strategy and Future Outlook Management, was awarded the U.S. Ideas Award for the Best Resident category for 2018 and the Executive Leader Award, which was awarded to Lt. Col. Omar Matar Khamis Bin Mazina, Director of The Facility Department.

Dubai's citizenship establishment was awarded the International Grand Prize in the Arab Ideas Award in the Category for Promoting National Identity for the Happiness Baby Initiative, an integrated online service that provides newborns with new citizens. Through Mabrouk Ma Yak, the customer receives the following services for the newborn: Issuing a birth certificate add the baby in the summary of the registration, registering the baby in the population register, issuing a passport, issuing an identity card, insurance- trust as the names of newborns are registered in the population register. Al-Madina/ Ilham Younis Ahli also received the Executive Leader of Innovation Award
