Stakeholders Engagement Policy in General Directorate of Residency & Foreigners Affairs

Introduction

In line with the UAE's vision to be one of the best countries by 2021, "Dubai Plan 2021", and "The Capability Model of the Organization for Governance, Compliance and Risk OCEG 3", the General Directorate of Residence and Foreign Affairs – Dubai seeks to preserve the rights of stakeholders (customers, suppliers, staff. legislators, investors, partners) and treat them fairly, listen to their opinions and concerns, encourage constructive cooperation in matters of interest to stakeholders, participating in the development of society and the environment and organizing the process of communicating with stakeholders.

 

Policy Ownership: The policy is owned by the Department of Strategic Planning, which is responsible for communicating and introducing it to all divisions and departments of the General Directorate of Residency and Foreign Affairs.

The General Directorate of Residency & Foreigners Affairs is committed to:

  • Identifying key stakeholders by brainstorming session.
  • Understanding the needs and interests of stakeholders. And categorize them into groups with a purpose.
  • The classification of stakeholders in terms of importance, balances, reconciliation, or coordination between them.
  • Integrating stakeholder needs into organizational strategies and performance.
  • Making a list of all stakeholders
  • Analysis of the conflict of interest for many stakeholders
  • Analysis of potential conflicts of interest with or between stakeholders
  • Laying the foundation for the stakeholder framework.
  • Use a foundation to formulate a strategy and decision-making
  • Evaluating the current strategies.
  • Laying the foundation for stakeholder communication
  • Review this policy by stakeholders and update it annually or when needed
