Introduction:

In line with the 17 goals of sustainable development of the United Arab Emirates that were signed and agreed upon at the United Nations Conference on the Sustainable Development Plan for 2030, which includes its 169 goals, and the national agenda for the UAE vision 2021 to achieve a sustainable environment. The General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Dubai employs the sustainability policy to build the basic pillars of work to achieve sustainable security for all citizens and residents in line with the strategic goals of the administration

Ownership of the policy: The policy is owned by the sustainability section.

The General Directorate of Residency & Foreigners Affairs is committed to:

Economic Development Axis:

  • Contribute to sustainable development to reduce overheads.
  • Reducing the use of electrical energy at GDRFA Dubai.
  • Diversification of income sources to increase revenues.

Social Development Axis:

  • Raising job happiness to 100% and receive an award for the best work environment.
  • Customer satisfaction.
  • Providing Educational developments for the employees in the GDRFA Dubai.
  • Providing health insurance for the employees, Moreover, a medical clinic at the General Directorate Head Office.

The Environmental Development Axis:

  • Recycling consumer resources, reducing energy consumption and using clean energy.
  • Reduce the use of transportation and using the renewable energy at work.
  • Reduce technological risks and their uses in the future.
  • To Review this policy by all divisions and stakeholders, further to updating it annually or when needed.
